Class Egg Hunts

This was my first year having everyone in preschool/school (which is amazing) but this has presented some challenges, like when you realize you are quadruple booked for egg hunts all at the same time!

The week before Easter/spring break was filled with lots of classroom parties, hunts, special projects etc.  First up that week was Andrew and Kate's first class egg hunt!

They were both super excited to go to their classmates house for the hunt.

When it was snack time I laughed because Andrew made a beeline for the picnic blanket. Needless to say he loves to eat!
So stinking cute!

Then their teachers did a little lesson. You may notice Andrew is not in this picture. That's because he was currently throwing a fit in my arms.  There is no nice way to say it- he and Kate were AWFUL this whole morning. Tantrums, screaming, crying. They were both exhausted and I was ready to lose it.  Not our best morning together.

Ms. Tracy coaxed him in for a few minutes.
Time for the egg hunt! At this age they just all put the eggs in the basket which I think is brilliant.

Where is Kate? Oh this was her time to freak out!

She finally decided to come over and join us.

Once the hunt was over everyone got their bucket that already had four eggs inside. Love the simplicity for this age group!

These two quickly learned that inside the eggs were treats

Time for another group photo. Kate's face sums up how most of this morning went for her and A.

The next day was the last day of school before the break and everyone had special activities going on. I felt terrible that I missed James's but thankfully he understood.

The 4 year old Easter egg hunt is always a big deal because it is one of the last preschool activities before the kids split and go to different schools for kindergarten. Very bittersweet! This lemonade stand was a big hit.

Egg and spoon races
Being with Harrison was so easy and a dream after the craziness of the day before with A and K.

Blessing before snack

Love this sweet group of kids!
The days A and K go to school meant they had another hunt on this same day.  My mom came and took them and apparently they were sweet little angels for their Nene.

The worst part about this day was that the eggs had chocolate so they came home covered in it!
