2019 in Review

Well- somehow I've gotten waaay behind in blogging.  As I write this we are currently in the middle of a world wide pandemic, we are about to start our ninth week out of school and life is just crazy! So...what better time than to try to catch up on the blog?!

2019 was what I would refer to as a normal year for our family and normal can be so so good!  Nothing wild or crazy but just ordinary every day moments.  Here are a few of the highlights!

January:
We had our first full family game night
We continued weekly swim lessons

February:
We celebrated Valentine's Day

We had the most amazing big boy trip

We finally got a couch for the third floor AND it holds us all for movie night

March
Harrison asked Jesus into his heart and decided he wanted to be baptized!

April
We had a fun day with our cousins

Happy Easter!

We finally made it to the zoo over spring break!
May

Ryan left for a conference for six nights. The day before he left Harrison started throwing up and several days later we ended up in the emergency room for possible appendicitis.  Not my easiest week to solo parent!
Happy Mother's Day! SO thankful for this crazy crew.

We took a trip of a lifetime to Turks and Caicos- ADULTS ONLY!!!

Celebrated turning 35

Kicked off the summer season with these cuties
June
Harrison passed the swim test! Which is not easy at our pool.
A few days later he turned 6!
James finished up his baseball season

We celebrated our favorite dad on Father's Day

After months of issues I ended up in a boot for the majority of the summer

We kicked off summer with our Christmas pjs and doing all sorts of fun activities. It was the first summer where we could really get out easily which was SO nice!

Putt Putt
Aquarium

Fort making

Water fun

Bowling
July

Annual beach celebration

Many many beach days
Donut runs

At 3 years and 10 months the twins finally got some freedom by having a toddler bed
August
Summer mountain trip tradition

James turned 9!

First day of 3rd and 1st grade.  I was so hopeful this would be a normal school year after last year's hurricane craziness but alas...it was not
September
First day of the three year old classroom

Quick visit from Hurricane Dorian. Much less damage but still no electricity for several days.

Time for football!

Father son weekend at camp

These precious miracles turned FOUR

Happy Birthday to Ryan!

We started a house renovation to add another bedroom

Had a fun Halloween
November
The room was still a work in progreess but this girl finally got a big bed AND her own room.

Andrew moved into the boys' old room.  It hurt my mama heart to separate them. Most of all because it was the end of rocking in the rocking chair together each night!!!

Work in progress but the walls were up for the new big boy room

December
All four kids were in the Christmas play at church

Breakfast with Santa
Christmas Eve

This was Ryan's year to work Christmas which was a bit of a bummer but thankfully our families were willing to come celebrate with us

So long 2019!!!
