Weekend at Harkers Island

We have really been on the go this summer! The good thing is that it has kept the kids busy and we have made lots of memories together.  The bad thing is that I am exhausted and feel like I have done an insane amount of packing and unpacking!  I'm looking forward to some routine in the near future.  We were excited to get to spend some time with the Holland/Fincannon crew recently at Harkers Island.  Ryan worked a half day and then we were off for a long weekend!
We immediately headed out to the dock to check the crab pots and look for fish. Kate was not so sure about this life jacket.

This kid. His head was so heavy and he kept leaning over; it is a miracle he didn't fall in. Ryan walked around the whole time hanging on to his life jacket like this!

Hammock snuggles. These boys adore their sister.

The good life. Lunch with a view!

Pop recently bought a new "jeep" so now the boys love to race. The driveway is perfect for it.

Ryan lost sight of Harrison and finally found him. He had tucked himself in and was fast asleep.
One afternoon we headed to the aquarium.  We recently bought the family membership because all four kids love it there. It is perfect afternoon outing.

Nana bought all the boys matching shirts and the most adorable dress for Kate. I can't wait till baby Margaret arrives so she and Kate can match too!

"Hey mom take my picture."

Captivated

Kate is never very amused by her mom's photo ops

Ryan and I have been wanting to get this picture- all four in front of the shark tank! I'll be honest.  We stuck them up there and made them pose.  I was impressed that they all stayed still for a split second!

And then we added our triplet! He and Andrew look so similar from behind  that I did multiple double takes throughout the weekend.

This picture captures our reality.  If you aren't miserable then you aren't making memories.  :)

At the end of the aquarium there is a Dairy Queen which was the perfect snack to cool us off

Davis seemed to approve

This was A and K's first Dairy Queen experience. Kate loved the "ice seam"

Andrew was very serious about his

Back to the beach house

Nana had put together an early birthday celebration for James

She did a Star Wars theme. How hilarious is Harrison???

He was so excited to open some presents.

James helped make this cake with Nana and it had a whole lot of chocolate in it!

How is he almost 7?

Group shot

This made me laugh out loud. We had set the self timer and right when we took the picture Harrison took off his mask!

Later that night Harrison went to do a little fishing

We didn't have much luck but it sure was a beautiful night!
