So long summer, it's been nice but we are ready for September and for some routine and structure!!!
Nothing like a little yogurt for snack |
Ready for beach pictures! |
"hey mom lets take a picture together of this" |
Dinner with Sara at Ceviche- yum! |
Selfies with mom- it's the only way she gets to be in a picture! |
Post beach trip meltdown mode. |
Breakfast time! |
My mom took James and Harrison for their photos and apparently Harrison was not the most cooperative that day, haha |
Thankfully she got some good ones too |
Why does she suddenly look so grown up? |
I was checking in on everyone on the monitor and got to observe James teaching Harrison chess which was pretty amusing |
When the game is over it becomes a great board for Lego fighting |
Sweet snuggles with James |
Working hard on a birthday card for James |
I don't know where this Gatorade obsession has come from. He rarely gets it but sure is excited on those occasions! |
Homemade slime |
"Hey mom, take my picture on this giant ball outside of Target" |
I opened a can of worms and let the twins try ketchup. Kate LOVED it. She kept licking that one fry over and over again. |
This was quite possibly the best time I have taken everyone out. Somehow every single kid behaved and sat and ate dinner with no meltdowns! The next time we went, not so much. |
Ketchup and then ice cream? What could be better? |
Andrew became obsessed with using his napkin. He does not like to be messy or sticky. |
Target run with just James and Kate. Kate got to ride in the shopping cart which almost never happens and she was so excited! |
Applesauce obsession- so good you lick the bowl out |
Family walk at Union Point Park |
The moment when you are feeding the ducks but then you realize you really needed a snack... |
Rare 30 seconds where everyone is quiet and captivated. I'm dreaming of the day they will all watch a 2 hour movie lol. |
Pretty boy with all that hair! |
Nothing like waking up from a nap and having a sticker in your hair |
Girls' night out in Beaufort |
Only a grandma would play the game "pull the toddler in the laundry basket back and forth" |
Sweet buddy is attached to his mama! |
When you fly into New Bern look at what you get to see at the airport! |
These two think it's so cool to get to play on Harrison's bed |
One last lunch at the pool before school starts |
Fun dinner with the Hollands and the Thompsons |
It's always exciting when you find a park that was built for multiple kids |
Poor Kate and Andrew trying hard to keep up with everyone else |
Fun night meeting Joe and Marianne for a double date |
Harrison's family portrait |
Final day before James started school we headed to the water park |
We were super excited to bump into some friends |
Not going to fit this way much longer |
This is what life looks like when you wake three kids up from naps to go get your first grader from school. Nothing like pushing 70 pounds plus of kids and carrying close to 30 at the same time- built in work out! |
This spring we are going with Ryan to a conference at Universal so James and I are slowly reading through Harry Potter before we get to go to HP world. It may take us till spring to finish it! It has become a way for us to have a little alone time together which I treasure, especially now that he is back at school. |
We decided it was time to get the train table out of the attic. We have definitely gotten our money's worth out of this thing |
The look your kids give you when you tell them that they will always have to share a car |
I love this kid. Underwear on backwards, splashing in the puddles |
"Hold you! Hold you!" That is what I hear all day long... |
