Thanksgiving

Our Thanksgiving was a little smaller this year and we went a non-traditional route but it ended up being one of the easiest and most relaxing Thanksgivings we have had since having kids!

I started off our morning with muffins for breakfast and at the last minute stuck these pilgrim toothpicks in them and it was hilarious to me how thrilled the kids were about it.  It just goes to show that it doesn't take much to make this age excited!

Andrew in particular loved his toothpick and used it like a fork lol.
We spent the morning decorating our tree (to be featured in another post) but the experience was magical, especially for Andrew and Kate.  After a little bit of time outside we turned on the Thanksgiving parade and shortly after my parents arrived.

Kate enjoyed checking out the toy magazine my mom brought

Everyone is captivated by Nene
Soon Joe, Marianne, and Hayden arrived and we headed over to eat lunch at the club which is aprox 30 seconds from our house. We had a private room all set up for us so the kids could be loud or wander around and no one would be bothered.  Best of all it was a buffet so no need to wait on food!

They had a kid area on the buffet and one of the desserts was an ice cream sundae station. Big hit for my crew!

Harrison kept alternating bites of ice cream with bites of his lunch.

Once the kids were done us adults wanted to go back for seconds and thankfully Hayden entertained J and H

And I came prepared with Elmo :)

The first thing Kate did at lunch was pour milk all over herself so she was soaking wet. Didn't seem to phase her much!

We sure missed Madeline!

We took a chance because our reservation was at 12:30 which is right at nap time but it worked out perfectly.  We all got stuffed and then we went home, dumped A and K into their beds, and the rest of us relaxed on the couch, drank coffee and recovered. :) It was a great day!
