Great Wolf Lodge

Originally we had planned on going to Great Wolf Lodge this past summer. Unfortunately Ryan's schedule was crazy and we could not find a weekend to go.  Finally we decided to just plan a long weekend, book it, and trust that the details would somehow work out.  On Thanksgiving my parents took A and K home with them and the next morning we hit the road with the big boys!

We made a lunch stop to have a little cousin/family time

The boys have been trained by their paranoid mom to "only touch a baby on the feet."  That's a side effect that comes with being a preemie mom and worrying about germs everywhere you go!

We made it! Practicing their howls!

We spent some time in the pool and then later that night went over to the arcade which is a huge waste of money but the boys love it.

Ready for storytime

They had added a service where for only $5 you could have your donuts and coffee delivered at the time of your choice.  Great way to start our day!

I ended up buying a waterproof case for my camera for the second day because I couldn't stand not to have some pictures

I'll be honest, the water was freezing to me.  And there is something extra terrible about getting in a bathing suit the day after Thanksgiving lol.

Later that day we got sucked into Magic Quest

We decided to escape the hotel for lunch and go to Crackle Barrel.  It feels so much easier to go out with just these two kids right now.

That afternoon we played putt putt. It was hilarious and so much fun!

It would take Harrison 20-30 strokes to get his in. I've never seen a child try so hard to get the ball in with so little success.

Hot chocolate and cookies!

And a little Bingo

Santa made his arrival and we had no idea it was going to be via helicopter

We ended our day with one game of chess

Meanwhile back at my parents A and K had morning coffee while watching the news with Pappy

They were put to work racking leaves

My dad looks a little intense here.  Grocery shopping with 2 year old twins is an intense experience.

Next time you two get to come too, I promise!

I think they had a blast without us though
