Oct Misc

This whole year has been crazy and October was no exception.  As soon as I was able to drive after the c-section I began going back and forth to the hospital in Greenville as often as possible. Most days I would drop the boys off at preschool at 8, drive straight to hospital, and our babysitter would pick the boys up from school and I would try to be home in time for dinner. At least once a week Ryan came with me and we went after he got off work and stayed late which made for some very long days. Ryan's mom also came and spent the night at the house once a week so that I could stay the night in Greenville and have more time at the hospital. Every weekend we packed up the boys and went to Greenville for the weekend. To say things have been crazy is an understatement!  Thankfully we were able to squeeze in a few special family memories along the way.

Donuts for breakfast!
Rainy day preschool drop off
This kid loves his umbrella
And wearing mom's rain boots!
I got this picture of this cutie sent to me one day which brought a smile to my face!
Late night monopoly game after a long day at the hospital
Sweet card from James. Those blocks are Legos I believe.
So so hard being away from my big boys each day. James often made me these cards and gave them to me when I got home.

Brother love
Fire safety month!
My friend Sara and her niece Reese sent a package for the big brothers and a card saying they were praying for the babies
FYI it was NOT raining this day...
James was invited to a birthday party at Chuckie Cheese and wanted to go so bad.  I ended up taking him so we could have some time together.
We were in Greenville at the hospital the weekend of Pappy's birthday

I was super sad that we didn't get to go to the pumpkin patch as a family this year. Thankfully Nana took the boys one day while I was at the hospital.
Fun at the ECU homecoming parade
Both sets of parents have been so wonderful throughout this to provide fun opportunities for James and Harrison while also taking turns visiting the babies when we can't be there.

I laughed and cried when mom sent me this picture. I thought it was hilarious that H and Georgia fell asleep at the football game but I was so so sad that I wasn't there with all of them. I remember being in the hospital with Ryan and I just started crying when I saw it.  I have felt so torn throughout this experience with not being able to be everywhere with everyone at once.
I laughed out loud when I got these pictures. JT and H doing wii yoga while Davis watches.
Oh Harrison!
Decorating our pumpkin with stickers from Nana

And then daddy carved the big one for us!
For months I tried to figure out a way to make my old car work but it just wasn't happening. When you have four kids, age 5 and under, all in car seats there is only one real option: the mini van. I have to admit it has made life easier and I am very thankful for that!

One thing I really wanted to do was make it to Georgia's first birthday. Ryan stayed with the babies while I took the boys.

I can't believe she is one! I love her so much!

Somehow James started helping her eat her birthday cake
Poor Harrison slept through the whole party! Thankfully Georgia didn't mind sharing her crib.
So silly but I sure do love him
I was so touched when I picked up Harrison one day and saw this. We had let him bring in pictures from his visit to the NICU and the teacher made a special sign for him. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful caring preschool for our boys and they have been so helpful to us!

First Time With All 4 Kiddos!

Once we got the babies moved to the hospital in our town I wanted the big boys to get to come for a visit. Over the course of the babies' hospital stays James and Harrison came several times but it was not the easiest place for a 2 and 5 year old to be.  One of the best things about this hospital was that the babies were in the same room. This meant when James and Harrison came with me this day it was the first time that I got to be with all four kids together!  It was chaotic but so special!!!

I had to include this pictures. When Harrison saw this pump he ran over excited and said, "Mom! They have a milker just like you!!!"  LOL
I love these four children so much! I can't believe I get to be their mother.
