Harrison's Baptism

Of all the days in our kids' lives so far I can honestly say that their baptism days ranks high on the list of the most memorable. Getting to witness them making a public profession of faith, being brave enough to do it in front of the church, hearing them explain the gospel in their own words- SO special!  Now on the other side of that I will also be honest in that it is extremely stressful to have your four children up on a stage in front of the world and it was a battle of good vs evil to have everyone dressed and at church on time.  Add to that the fact that Ryan and I also were teaching Sunday school before- what a morning!
How cute is he?!

A and K almost never come to big church with us. They were SO excited.

Sweet Vivi

Hello front row!

I thought for sure Andrew would be the handful. Well James was super nervous to be up there and kept acting strange and Kate was a total mess. At one point it looked like she was about to go start playing the drums!  Andrew actually ended up being the best behaved. Our plan was for Ryan to focus on H while I tried to keep the other three somewhat in line.

I loved how he answered so loud and clear the different questions he was asked.

Kate kept clapping for him

I also loved that the other kids got to watch him.

His face here- he was trying hard not to smile but you can tell he is so proud

Right after he was baptized Kate walked over unprompted and gave him a huge hug. It was about the most adorable moment ever!

Our babysitter sent me this pic- some proud family watching and taking pictures!

After the service we stood with the pastor and everyone came by to tell him congratulations. He was soaking it all up!

After church we all had brunch together

We were pleasantly surprised with how well the kids behaved- they are all growing up!

Opening his gift from Nana and Pop

A new bible! What a special day for our family!

The funniest part of this was every day for following week Andrew kept saying, "Mom, can we go see Harrison get splashed again? Can we mom? Can we?"

Feb Misc

Time is flying! Hard to believe another month is over.

Hair cut by Mr Buddy

The kids begged to make valentine houses

19 years of dating!

Kate "Poor Andrew. Mr. Buddy cut all his curls."

I've been on the hunt for older kid toys that involve thinking and are fun. James really enjoyed this one where you create different roller coasters.

The weather was beautiful so we walked home from preschool and ate lunch in the stroller so I didn't have to clean the kitchen :)

Even now I still sometimes look at this and can't believe I have four kids

No one will confess but someone pulled the toilet paper holder out of the wall...

Kate's silly face

It's often hard to capture her personality with a camera but sometimes she allows it

Obviously she still loves to stand on the chair and asks to have her picture taken!
One day before school I went to go find A and K and they had climbed up here and decorated the Christmas tree with all of the new toothbrushes from the bathroom...

You just never know what you will find with these two

She dressed herself today. Any idea what her favorite color is???

Needless to say he didn't take a nap on this day...

James's sweet team

Ryan took the kids to see Nana and Pop for a night and somehow all three of these kiddos slept in this bed together.

I had a mother milestone in that I took all four kids by myself to the aquarium for the first time. They did great!

The otters were awake!

We discovered that the Dairy Queen on the way home had an indoor playground. James also convinced me since it was his half birthday he needed a brownie sundae.

Modeling her new bathing suit and flip flops

Tough loss at the end of the season but they all played so hard!

Daddy is the most fun at bedtime

Found this sweet boy who fell fast asleep while reading his bible.

Wacky tacky day at school

Mustache and orange day

Kate's picture of us she drew at church lol.

The story of my life. Never ending laundry.

We brought Kate this unicorn as a surprise from our trip and she has taken it everywhere

Reading to her lovies after she wakes up from her nap.  I say it often but she is so different than the boys in so many ways. It has been fun to experience!
