Harrison's Baptism

Of all the days in our kids' lives so far I can honestly say that their baptism days ranks high on the list of the most memorable. Getting to witness them making a public profession of faith, being brave enough to do it in front of the church, hearing them explain the gospel in their own words- SO special!  Now on the other side of that I will also be honest in that it is extremely stressful to have your four children up on a stage in front of the world and it was a battle of good vs evil to have everyone dressed and at church on time.  Add to that the fact that Ryan and I also were teaching Sunday school before- what a morning!
How cute is he?!

A and K almost never come to big church with us. They were SO excited.

Hello front row!

I thought for sure Andrew would be the handful. Well James was super nervous to be up there and kept acting strange and Kate was a total mess. At one point it looked like she was about to go start playing the drums!  Andrew actually ended up being the best behaved. Our plan was for Ryan to focus on H while I tried to keep the other three somewhat in line.

I loved how he answered so loud and clear the different questions he was asked.

Kate kept clapping for him

I also loved that the other kids got to watch him.

His face here- he was trying hard not to smile but you can tell he is so proud

Right after he was baptized Kate walked over unprompted and gave him a huge hug. It was about the most adorable moment ever!

Our babysitter sent me this pic- some proud family watching and taking pictures!

After the service we stood with the pastor and everyone came by to tell him congratulations. He was soaking it all up!

After church we all had brunch together

We were pleasantly surprised with how well the kids behaved- they are all growing up!

A new bible! What a special day for our family!

The funniest part of this was every day for following week Andrew kept saying, "Mom, can we go see Harrison get splashed again? Can we mom? Can we?"
