18 months old, 1 1/2 years. Gone are those tiny little babies and in their place are two inquisitive, opinionated, strong-willed TODDLERS!
Andrew: 27 pounds, 6 ounces, 32 inches (Over 9 times his birth weight and double his birth length!)
Drew baby (which has become your official nickname somehow), you are just a big ole mess as of lately! You love to run from your mama, get into things you know you are supposed to stay away from and when you get caught you give us a sneaky smile. You love to annoy your sister. This morning I looked over and you were hitting her over and over again on the head with your fork. You also LOVE to steal her food much to her dismay. You love to laugh, to smile, to throw a ball, to climb and to be outside. You are better at using a spoon and fork than your sister but you are also the one who throws food across the table and onto the floor. Your older brothers already include you in their wrestling matches and games. Your hair is the curliest of any of the children; after bath time it is full of ringlets! You are a bright ray of sunshine in our house. It is hard not to smile back when you give us on of your big grins.
Kate: 24 pounds, 9 ounces, 30 1/2 inches long
Katie bug (your official nickname)- you have certainly become the princess of the family! You are my first child to have an opinion about clothing. You insist on wearing a bow or headband and always must have on a pair of shoes. Reading books is one of your new favorite activities; you especially love Pat the Bunny. Your favorite place to be is in my lap and whenever you sit you always cross your ankles like a little lady. I can tell that you are trying to talk and communicate more lately. One of your recent words was "cookie" which you were very excited to eat. I went to pick you up from childcare and you gave me a big wave and a "hi". You also made your dad and I burst out laughing when you did your version of the cat's meow- more of a crazy growl! We are working on using a spoon but most of the time you like to just use your fingers and lick out the bowl. You are our petite little thing but with a voice that is always heard. Your brothers adore you. You give great snuggles and cuddles and are currently the "easy" twin (I have noticed that they take turns wearing this title).
My sweet friend Sara was in town and took a few photos right around their 18 month birthday. I love how she captures little snippets of our life!
