Florida Here We Come!

When I heard that Ryan was asked to attend a conference in Orlando I immediately jumped on the idea that we should take the kids and go to Disney World.  Let's just say that it took a little convincing to get Ryan on board with this idea but we are both so glad that we did it!  Best of all Ryan's parents decided to join us!

I really meant to take a picture of what we had to drag to the airport. For the record taking two kids, a stroller, 2 backpacks, 3 huge suitcases, and two car seats is no easy feat. In order to do this I had to put Harrison in the front carrier and wear him, stack both car seats on top of the stroller, push the stroller with one hand while pulling a huge suitcase behind me while Ryan pulled the other two suitcases.  James was in charge of "helping" me push the stroller with the two car seats perched precariously on top.  Needless to say it was quite the adventure and we hadn't even left Shreveport.

As someone who has flown quite a few times with kids I believe that Harrison is without a doubt at the hardest age.  Old enough to be mobile but not old enough to watch a movie. Into everything with the attention span of 2.5 seconds. This trip was a little preview of what it's going to be like flying with them by myself in a few weeks. Better start praying now, it's going to be an experience! :)

A little exploring before we board

"But I don't want to take a nap Mom"

The highlight of the trip for Harrison was that he got to eat his first Chick fil a nuggets at the Atlanta airport

Killing time during a long layover
When we landed in Florida sweet H had not taken a nap the whole day and we had all that baggage to deal with while getting our rental car. When Ryan told me his parents had texted him that they had waited several hours for us to get there at the airport to help us I about shed tears of joy.  Thank you Nana and Pop!!!  They ended up giving us an upgrade for our rental car so we had a Yukon XL. That thing was a beast. Best part of all was we could put H in the third row which meant the noise from his crying was softer.

We all went out to dinner that night. We had to try to get a picture of Harrison's latest trick.  He basically scrunches up his nose and makes this hilarious sound.

And here is our attempt to get it on video. Kids- the best form of entertainment

After a LONG day of traveling we will thankful to get back to our condo and go to sleep! Next stop- Magic Kingdom!!!
