4 Months Old

4 Months Old- 6 Weeks Adjusted

Andrew- 13 pounds, 7 ounces, 22 inches long
Kate- 10 pounds, 14 ounces

Andrew, your biggest accomplishment from the past month is that you are off your heart monitor!!! It is such a relief to have it gone and so much easier to carry you and do things without it.  It is also super special to finally see you each day with no wires attached- something I have looked forward to for a very long time.  Some other things about you are that you can roll from front to back, you have started smiling, you do not like tummy time or the play mat, and you hate being swaddled but can't sleep without it.  The other big news from this past month is that despite all our precautions you got RSV!  My heart dropped when I heard you wheezing and I tried to mentally prepare myself for you to be put back in the hospital but you managed to squeeze by without having to go back.  Thankfully you and Kate both are getting synegist shots every 28 days and the doctor said that probably made a big difference in how you handled being sick.

Kate for the most part you are still our easy baby.  You enjoy tummy time and being in the swing and we have noticed you watching things like the fan or looking at toys lately.  We ran out of newborn diapers so we moved up to size one- they reach over your belly button! I also finally packed up most of the newborn clothes and moved you up to 3 months.  Somehow you managed to avoid getting sick even though Andrew was. You and your brother both love to fight your third nap and everyone wants to be held from around 4:00-7:00 each day. The witching hours are crazy at our house! You have also started giving us beautiful smiles which we love.

Taking pictures is exhausting!

Whoops! Andrew toppled over, lol

Too big to fit in here together anymore!
Dreaming of the day when we have enough hair for a bow

Poor baby waiting at the doctor's office. This was in our private waiting room. Our pediatrician has been awesome about helping us keep the babies away from other kids.  We also go to the doctor so often that we know everyone by name!
