Harrison,
How on earth are you already one?!?! I just cannot believe it and part of me is sad knowing how fast this year has flown by.  You are doing all sorts of fun and interesting things.  You are cruising all over the place but not walking by yourself yet. You continue to crawl and get stuck in all sorts of unusual places. You are much more mischievous than your brother. You love to turn on the lights and the fan and like to show us with your arm how the fan goes around and around. You can identify your nose and head and love to show off by sticking out your tongue. You have learned the sign for "more" and demonstrated it multiple times when your dad gave you a bite of his cookie! You are an okay eater, a little more picky than James was at this age.  Though you only say a few words you make it VERY clear what you want and when you want it. You definitely get your point across. Your favorite person is your daddy, followed by your brother, and your mother is a distant third. Books have started to keep your interest and we need to read more to you! While we were at Disney World you got your first tooth! I was beginning to think you would never get one. Around 11 months you finally started sleeping through the night (mostly) and taking some (but not all) naps that are more than 30 minutes. Of course you still are an early riser, normally up between 5 and 5:15 and never past 5:45. As tired as you have made your Mommy this past year I wouldn't trade the early mornings and middle of the nights because they have also been some of our sweetest times together (that said, I'm okay with having those special moments during the day from now on). I was hoping that by age 1 I was going to be able to write that you miraculously decided to love your car seat, no such luck, lol. Harrison, you bring so much joy and laughter to our family.  Our lives are better because you are a part of it. A year ago Jesus gave me the gift of being a mom again to another sweet precious boy and I will forever be grateful for the gift of your life. We love you!

So many of his pictures are serious- he does smile!
