Halloween

Halloween was so much fun this year!  The boys always are into it but this year Andrew and Kate loved it!  It was so fun to watch them trick or treat.

A couple of days before Halloween we tried on some costumes.

Harrison wanted to be Hulk "so I can paint my face green and smash things"

Kate insisted on putting on this 0-6 month monkey costume

Then she moved onto the golfer

My little pumpkin

Kate's turn

Dr. McCutie.  James wore this on our favorite Halloween in LA

My initial plan was for us to have a superhero squad.  James changed his costume but I made him put this one on for a picture.

My little wonder woman

A twin mom friend had handed these down to us

We were invited to a big neighborhood gathering prior to trick or treating

This is Kate's friend from preschool. Her reaction to him was priceless. She yelled "Elmo" and ran to tackle him. I think she truly believed he was the real deal.

Andrew loved the jump house so much we couldn't get him out! We finally had to get James to crawl in and drag him out of there.

Dinner time. My kids will always stop for food lol.

She was very excited about this cookie

A friend saw us walking in and offered to take our picture. I was excited to get a family photo and with a real camera!

Time to trick or treat

That belly!

At one point I was talking to a neighbor and I looked down and Kate was shoveling the candy as fast as she could into her bucket

Andrew was in his element. He walked the entire time, running as fast as he could from house to house.

Family selfie

Everybody got to pick a piece of candy. Andrew and Kate were so excited to have the whole little bag of MMS.  Poor kids have been sheltered from so much, candy being one thing lol.

After everyone went to bed we were checking out the goodies and I told Ryan that one unexpected perk of having four kids is that you get SO much good candy on Halloween!!!

Oct Misc

October- hands down always one of my favorite months of the year! So many fun things going on, beautiful weather, and lots of birthdays in our family to celebrate.

Couch snuggles

Beautiful day at the park while we celebrated the NICU9 turning two.  We missed our favorite triplets though! :(

Walk to school day! I wasn't able to take James and he was so sad to miss. I sent out a text to some fellow school moms and had so many people respond offering to help get him there.  So thankful for our community and the sweet people who live here!

This came from her preschool teacher, not sure what they were doing but I thought it was pretty funny

No glasses for her yet but at least she will look cute when the time comes

Every time we walked down the stairs he wanted to come check out the pumpkins

Blue ice cream is the best ice cream

Ryan took the big boys for a round of golf and then we all met for dinner and a little walk on the water front

Creating birthday cards.  In case you were wondering paint and four kids don't go well together!

Grandparents' Day

My mom and I took A and K for their first Mexican restaurant experience (which it is downright sinful that I have let them get to age 2 before this happened!)  They were hilarious with their chips and salsa!

Lunch at school with James

His lunch time conflicts with preschool pick up so it's hard for me to get there often

How awesome is Granny Baker playing basketball???

We are limiting our pacifier use to just nighttime but this day Andrew was truly traumatized so I caved. Poor kid had a hard time eating though!

These two love babies lately!  They couldn't get enough of Noah at the park

I took Harrison on an errand and he requested to ride in Andrew's seat.  You just never know what he is going to feel like doing!

Family selfie before church

Oh these long curls...

As a joke I gave him a man bun. He totally rocked it!

Our little monkey

So proud of himself

Harrison requested to marble paint which ended up with a disaster on my floor.

Pudding painting at preschool!

Testing out our costume

Open preschool gym

They loved it but I was overwhelmed. I think it is more of a one on one or two adult place.

Harrison and his best bud Benjamin

H rarely takes a nap but every now and then the car ride will get him

Andrew's pretend mad face

Just when you think you know your child's gifts and talents they surprise you

A and K were mesmerized by the fish tank at the pediatrician's office.

These two got a glowing report from their Doctor!  It's amazing how far they have come in only two years!

Speaking of talent, apparently this is one of their specialties

"Give each other a hug"

We headed out for a bike ride and I realized James had on pajamas and Harrison had his shirt on backwards.

Favorite family activity: riding our bikes down the street to jump on a neighbor's trampoline.

James won the "Paws for Applause" award at school!

Ready for the school fall festival

We were in line to do the very first cake walk:

And Harrison won!!!  I seriously teared up, this is the kid who never wins anything and he was so proud of himself!

Face paint time! Harry Potter scar

It was a cold day and we were literally the only people who got in line for an icy.  This kid loves them!

I don't think this is going to work much longer not to mention it is hard pulling 100+ pounds of kid

Practicing for Halloween

Fall festival part 2.  Golf cart trrick or treating- I don't know if we have ever had a year where we had so much candy before Halloween even started

Another cake walk and this time everyone won.  James was thrilled, it irked him tremendously that Harrison had won at the other and he didn't :)

Hayride!

Andrew and Kate got invited to their very first party that was just for them, not to tag along with other people in the family

It was a super cute birthday party for a friend in their class and they had it at the fire station

I was trying to get Kate's picture and Andrew went and stood right in the front

This guy had a blast!  His sister was the difficult one this day

We had a little fight during the pinata time

His face blowing bubbles cracks me up!

Kate missed the group photo because I had already stuck her in the car since she was having a meltdown

Preschool prayer pumpkin

One day at preschool pick up they told me Kate was acting really sick. I called and our doctor squeezed us in during her lunch break.  We walked in the door and Kate came alive! She was dancing and talking more than I have ever heard her.  To the point where I looked at the receptionist and said, "why is this child in speech?""  Needless to say she was completely fine and well! It's funny to take A or K out alone because they are always so confused about why the other car seat is empty and  why they are missing their twin and ask about them non stop.
Harrison had snack week and insisted that his treat (they are allowed to bring one special snack for the week) be rice krispy pumpkins.  I slaved over these things and when I picked him up from school he said, "mom no one even liked them and I didn't either.'

Our pumpkin design was simple but he did get one tooth this year lol.

Harrison also worked on his Yoda pumpkin

Meanwhile my math lover sorted the seeds into groups of ten so he could count them

Final product!  Every time Kate saw it she said "Harrison yoyo pumpkin"

At night these two have started pulling their chairs over to listen to stories.  Kate tried to sit in Andrew's seat one time- major power struggle broke out over that!

Ready for speech on Halloween

Sweet brothers! I remember James and Harrison wearing these together, it was the October the babies were in the hospital. Time is flying!
