Birthday Celebration Part 3- Twinkle Twinkle Little Star!

The grand finale of the birthday weekend was Andrew and Kate's Twinkle Twinkle Little Star party.  I had a hard time coming up with a theme.  I wanted something that I could throw in some pink but also felt right for Andrew.  I finally came across some quotes that made me fall in love with this concept.

My friend Lindsey from LA helped me with some of the decor with her new business The Festive Favor. I love all that she did!

My friend Kathleen's mom graciously made these delicious cookies for favors.

In addition to the cookie we gave a donation to March of Dimes in honor of the guests.

Each baby had a book for people to write a birthday wish

I love this bible verse.  It reminds me that God is involved in the details.  He is intimately involved in every aspect of our lives and just as he knows every star in the sky he also knows each of us.  Andrew and Kate are not random to him, they were handpicked to be in our family.

I also thought this was just perfect for the journey they had been on the past year.  From 3 pounders on ventilators and feeding tubes and heart monitors to big healthy chubby babies.

My mom made these pretty flower arrangements

We had jersey mikes as part of the meal which may have seemed random to some but Ryan and I ate there so much while at the hospital and they also do a day of giving each year where they give 100 percent of their profits to the Children's Miracle Network hospitals. I don't ever hear of restaurants giving all of their profits like that!

I went a little overboard on the cakes but I thought they were beautiful and so delicious! I feel like twins have to share so much that I wanted each baby to have their own big cake and their own smash cake.  I know it seems ridiculous but I wanted each one to look back and know they were celebrated individually.

It was a wonderful afternoon of celebrating Andrew and Kate as well as a few of the many family and friends who had been our support team this past year.  We couldn't have done it alone!

    1. Thank you! It is easier to keep the grass alive here than in Louisiana with those hot summers! :)
